Review:
This is my first book of Brenda’s that I have read and I can honestly say I am going to be reading all of her books from now on. Everblue was amazing! I can’t believe I liked this book so much.
I knew this was going to be a mermaid tale and while I don’t read much books with mermaids, I am starting to become a fan. Everblue was perfect; it was better than I expected it to be.
All the characters made this book, even though some of the characters made me angry. What makes a book is the emotion in the book and how they relate to the readers. I feel like even though mermaids aren’t real that readers can relate to the characters and the book. This book will make you angry, happy and cringing with cheesiness.
Everblue Is told in two perspectives, Fin and Ash. Both have liked each other for a long time but Fin couldn’t do anything about it because he was hiding a huge secret from Ash. He was a merman, he couldn’t kiss Ash like he wants to because kissing another person means that you’re bound to that person, both love each other unconditionally and they go a little bit mad if there separated.
Fin also has a twin sister named Tatiana. Tatiana and Ash are best friends and for years she and Fin had to hide what they really are from Ash. I really liked the relationship between Tatiana and Ash and Ash and Fin. Fin and Ash are perfect for each other!
The whole book was filled with drama and suspense, I had no idea what was going to happen next and I just wanted to keep reading on and on. And while this book didn’t exactly leave us with a cliffhanger, It ended with an opening for the next one; I’m excited to see what the outcome with be between the whole family.
When the book ended I felt sad but also hopeful that a year will go up quickly, I hope I can be included in the book tour for the second book!
5/5 stars
