Author Bio:
 Laura Stoddard was born in Idaho and spent her formative years running amok in the great outdoors. She received her bachelors degree in English Literature from Arizona State University. After being rejected from the masters program for creative writing she decided that she didn't need a masters degree to tell her she could write, so she started really dedicating her time to finishing the story she'd started months earlier, with the goal of writing a complete novel, and getting it published. The result is her debut novel, The Dreamosphere, for which her own vivid, bizarre, and incomprehensible dreams provided the inspiration. Laura is an adrenaline junkie and will try anything once--or twice--or maybe three times. She can already check whitewater rafting, going down in a shark cage, and skydiving (three times) off of her list. Oh, and getting Lasik. It was five minutes of terror. She enjoys hiking, rowing, reading classic literature, embarking on new adventures and hobbies, volunteering regularly, and spending time with family. She currently resides in Phoenix, Ariz.

 Review: After finishing “Angel Fever,” The last book in the trilogy, I breathed a sigh of relief. This trilogy was a little slower paced than I would have like, but Angel Fever was by far the best.

 I read all three books in a row and I have to say all these characters went through hell and back, so much has happened throughout these books that it’s a miracle anyone has survived.

 I got very frustrated with willow’s character. She never knew what she wanted. She was whiny and she wanted everyone to pity her. While she did annoy me, she was a very strong person, she has to go through so much stuff and survive basically the end of the world.

 I loved the ending to this book. The beginning took me awhile to get into but I tore through the last 200 pages in a couple hours. There was so much fighting and dying I was on the edge of my seat, there was so much going on.

 I have to give it to the author. She really knows how to create such an intense scene that makes you bite your nails and hope for the best. I didn’t like this series as much as I thought I would but the action scenes were out of this world , the author did a great job creating a beautiful world full of angels. 2.5 stars

They hang out after school, share tons of inside jokes, their families are super close, and Levi even starts dating one of Macallan’s friends. They are platonic and happy that way.

Eventually they realize they’re best friends — which wouldn’t be so bad if they didn’t keep getting in each other’s way. Guys won’t ask Macallan out because they think she’s with Levi, and Levi spends too much time joking around with Macallan, and maybe not enough time with his date. They can’t help but wonder . . . are they more than friends or are they better off without making it even more complicated?

From romantic comedy superstar Elizabeth Eulberg comes a fresh, fun examination of a question for the ages: Can guys and girls ever really be just friends? Or are they always one fight away from not speaking again — and one kiss away from true love?




Review:

What first drew me to this book was the cover. I’m a sucker for teenage romance. I love reading cute, predictable romances so I kind of went into this book predicting the whole thing. But what I didn’t realize that for most of the book the main characters were pretty young. 

I usually don’t like to read books where the characters are so young. I feel like when you have young characters, they seem to be more immature, but they were that was not the case. 

What I really liked in Better of Friends was the POV change. I love being able to read and hear both sides of the characters and their emotions. 

The main point of the book was to prove that boy, girl friendships didn’t have to turn into relationships. And while they both drifted apart some, and had other relationships, they just couldn’t get rid of each other. I think that is very much possible to be best friends with the opposite sex and have no feelings for them, even though this book was a typical YA romance, I loved every minute of it. 

It was easy to connect with the characters. Elizabeth has a way with words, I have read every one of her books and every time I read a new one, they keep getting better and better. 

Better off Friends is a cute and fun read that readers of all ages can enjoy!
